This software incorporates a sound level meter designed to assess ambient noise levels, as well as a hearing test intended to provide a preliminary evaluation of auditory function.

1. Sound Level Meter

• The measurement of noise begins and ends via the Start/Stop function, with the highest sound level recorded displayed in decibels (dB). It is important to note that exposure to noise levels exceeding 80 dB may pose a risk to hearing health. The results obtained from this measurement should be regarded as indicative; they do not provide a precise, clinically reliable reading.
• Prerequisite: A functioning microphone is required for measurement. Depending on the device, such as certain iPod models or 8GB variants, the microphone may not be included by default but can be purchased separately.

2. Hearing Test

• The test conducts a series of auditory examinations, presenting specific sounds to each ear at varied frequencies and sound pressure levels. Users are prompted to confirm when sounds are heard, allowing the software to estimate the lowest perceivable sound level. The outcomes are displayed graphically.
• This hearing assessment serves solely as an initial indication of auditory capability. It is not intended to replace professional diagnostic procedures. For comprehensive and conclusive evaluation, consulting an ENT specialist or qualified audiologist is strongly recommended.
